Chinese manufacturer Vivo has unveiled the Vivo X5Max, a smartphone that's just 4.75-mm (0.187-inches) thick at its thinnest point.
Engadget, which had some hands-on time with the Vivo X5Max, noted that its 2,000mAH battery is definitely not the best in class — but that's not surprising from such a thin device.
In addition, its 13-megapixel camera is responsible for a noticeable bump on the phone's back, making it thicker by nearly 2mm (0.07 inches) at that point.
Other phones in the "extremely slim" category include the Oppo R5, which is 4.85-mm (0.19-inches) thick, and Huawei Ascend P7, which is 6.6-mm (0.26-inches) thick.
The Vivo X5Max is expected to hit China Mobile stores for about $490 on Dec. 12.
