You always had to scroll through a timeline. Until now. Facebook has updated their graph search to help you when you’re looking for a particular post on a certain topic. It will even show you those posts based on which of your friends posted it. It’s about time.
Facebook says these new search metrics will follow their same privacy guidelines; meaning you can’t see stuff that wasn’t shared publicly, or with you. This is great news for Facebook users, especially if you like to use it as a reference for pics or videos. Now you can find what you want.

Say someone shared a funny Star Trek meme, but you don’t remember when or it is too much of a pain to scroll. You can search for something like “Mike’s Star Trek picture”. As long as the person also had some written words describing it, like “check out this Star Trek image”, Facebook’s search will pick it up.
The update will hit iOS and the desktop this week. We don’t know when the new search feature will hit Android. This makes Facebook much easier to use and more hassle free.
the strangest thing. Most connected people on the planet post to Facebook, but the service has always been terrible about letting you find the posts you want. You would think this would be an important feature for them.
